Crawford County A.B.A.T.E.

Crawford County Chapter of ABATE of Illinois monthly meeting was held October 13 at the Eagles Club in Palestine..  We had 21 members in attendance, guess no one wanted to be nominated.  Next meeting is November 10 at the Eagles in Palestine.  This meeting will be election of officers.   We will have Pizza House pizza that night, chapter’s treat.   

The year is winding down really quick.  We have started taking donations for the Toy Run.  Not putting cans around this year and so far have a little over $200.  Start asking around at work, etc.  Checks should be made to Crawford County ABATE and I can give receipts to anyone that wants one.  Flyers will be included here.   Remember – whatever we take in gets divided between 6 fire departments. 

Had a good time at the Wine and Arts Festival Bike Show it was a little cold but a beautiful day.  Oblong Safety Day would have been great if the weather would have cooperated.   The Fall Ride didn’t have a lot of people but it was a beautiful day and they had a great time from what I’ve heard.

November 7    Crawford County ABATE TOY RUN

With new officers being voted in next month.  They will be planning the calendar for next year.  If there are any comments you want to make about where meetings are held, rides to be planned, anything – now is the time.
